Dr Sean Conte is pleased to provide local specialist cardiology services to the NSW South Coast.

Dr Sean Conte is a St Vincent’s Sydney trained cardiologist and physician with sub-specialty expertise in echocardiography, heart failure, valvular heart disease, and cardiac CT. Sean has been working in the Bega Valley since 2020 when he supported South East Regional Hospital as a locum registrar. After completing cardiology training in the St Vincent’s training network, he moved with his family to the South Coast to take up a position as Cardiologist and General Physician at South East Regional Hospital and establish Sapphire Coast Cardiology. 

Sean is heavily involved in medical education. He is a lecturer at the Bega campus for the Australian National University and previously was a conjoint lecturer at University of New South Wales and University of Notre Dame Australia. He is an accredited physician trainee supervisor and is the medical supervisor for the junior doctors at South East Regional Hospital. Sean is passionate about expanding both specialist services and access to high quality cardiology care in regional NSW.
